Okay it was a 3 dr but i remember reading at the time that the locks can get a bit confused and there was a reset procedure.

The lock mechanism on the passenger side of my golf mk5 showed signs of becoming dead as it gave a few rattles extra after i used the remote and the other locks opened closed. Im having an on and off issue with my 06 golf tdi. Posted in mkv mk5 golf golf plus jetta. I managed to sort mine out.

A bit of help if i may. You can get an oem lock actuator for about 50 100. Even better you can get one under warranty from us at a discount from 30 80. This being the case the door lock module is at fault.

Feck knows why but alex went to task and repaired the door lock module. If it isn t actuating from a signal sent to it from the ccm its because the mechanism is fubard in the door lock. If it turns out that the lock actuator may be the problem we suggest replacing it. Drivers door lock sticking.

The door being the only door in the car with a faulty power lock system. Sometimes the drivers door unlocks sometimes it doesnt. All things mk5 mk5. The locks went a bit mental on my gti once. You have to take the door skin off. I wander out to the car and hit the unlock button on the fob as usual.

You can t do this without opening the door. The door lock working in only one direction. Taking the door card won t help you just have a metal wall with a few small holes for wiring.
