Highline dash displays have a settings menu.
This issue also indicates a bad lock actuator.
The battery is likely dead and needs to be replaced but the remote s may also need to be reprogrammed to work.
And the windows are fine so i guess.
The door lock works in only one direction.
I love this car but i was only given a valet key i intend to get a regular key from the dealership but i noticed that the rear door are not locking even when i try to lock them from inside.
Both front doors are fine.
If your key fob fails to lock or unlock your car all you need to do is to replace its battery.
If anyone has a solution please let me know i have been manually locking the rear doors.
I have removed the fuse with the padlock icon.
If this happens the problem is with the remote.
First you need to be 100 sure that the key fob is the culprit.
Used remote and key in door to lock each time the horn would beep like the doors would lock but i was still able to open the rear driver s side door no matter what.
Rear driver s side door would not lock.
If the power locks seem to be working just fine from within the car then you need to replace your key fob battery.
Locks work from the switch but not the remote.
The only way i have found to lock the car is by removing a fuse from the fuse box in the passenger side glove box.
Go into your jetta and play around with the power lock switches.
Had this problem with my 2010 vw jetta se.
This disables the central locking but has the strange side effect of making the indicators work at double speed.
